I'd like to jump in, too. But I want to know who is still interested and if there are enough players.
You could try to drop Cobra a PM and see if he's still in the game. I suspect Barthi will still be looking after the Imperium, although it's been such a long time I really can't say.
I'd say if none of them are interested, you can take the Imperium, and we leave all the small ones to the AI. We'll see! I'll play my turn when we have a clear idea of how things will turn out.
So there are at least four of us interested in continuing the game:
Ingvar, Monkey, Garfield and myself. Right? Don't knows if Barthi or Cobra would like to go on though.
Since we've had no input at all from Cobra or Barthi, I'd like to assume they aren't interested in going on with this game. I will, however, send them PM's now, and see what they have to say. If they do not answer, I'll assume they have no interest, and we can go on with this game.
