Before we get too far along in this game, I have a question for you guys about the house rules.
I originally stipulated the rule "no bribing of enemy cities or units".
How do the other players feel about industrial sabotage? Should this be allowed or not? Is this allowed in most other games?
McMonkey to play.
I would say it is a valid tactic, except maybe for City Walls. If a size 3 city with a garrison of 3 has its walls sabotaged and then the city is attacked it will be wiped off the map. I'm not sure if there is a universal policy. Perhaps we should create a thread with universal house rules and if any of them don't apply to a specific scenario then that should be mentioned in post #1 of the game thread. I would be happy to draft something.

Naples is captured for the loss of 2 Feudal Cavalry.
Glasgow is captured with no losses.
An Arab Moorish Cavalry unit is spotted camping outside the walls of Aila. The Crusaders determine that there is only 1 possible reason for an Arab army to be so close to the town and decide to order a pre-emptive strike.
War is declared on the Fatimid Caliphate, 1 Moorish cavalry unit killed.
I forgot to mention, Great Fair(Clolossus) built in Paris.
Nothing.

Atze, are you still interested in playing as the Holy Roman Empire? If so then we could advertise a player slot in the "Needed players" thread for the Byzantines.
I think it would be good to have an additional European civ as the economy of the Anglo-Normans is crap to put it bluntly. It is going to be really hard to generate much trade revenue with the cities I have.
I am fine with both. If anyone wants to join as the Byzantines I will take the Reich.
