    could this be a result of the bug mod?
    Frozen, I have the same problem. I already put in a report to the Bug Mod forums about it, since I also had my suspicions.

    Alright, I'm back with a simple solution. Edit the .INI file in Real Always War so that the line:

    ; Custom XML and Python from user folder are not loaded
    NoCustomAssets = 1


    is equal to '1' instead of the default '0'. It should be that simple to fix, though you may have to get around Vista restrictions on over-writing the file.

    Concernin our start:

    Guess a good idea could be

    1. Mining, Bronze (only for slavery as the capital will otherwise grow to fast beyond the happycap), Sailing (for makin a second town availbale via ship)

    2. I would start producin a workboat on max speed (chancing to wine-tile with first extension of our boarders), then a second workboat (working the fishes and the wine, lateron also the grasslandwoods) and finally a warrior.

    3. Should be possible to time the finishing of Sailing and the warrior in the same turn Otherwise preproduce a settler for some turns and switch over to ship as fast as Sailing is ready. Buliding the ship until the capital is shortly before growing to size 6 (above the happycap), switching over to the settler and workin on him until we can let him feel the whip for pop3. Changing again to the ship growing to 6 (1 citizen) changing back to settler, whip him and using the overproduction to finish the ship

    Afterwards I would reguard to tech Husbandry just for the sake of makin Writing as quick available as possible. Two librarian-scientists will be a good option to stop the capital from growing to fast

    Hi and thanks for the invitation.

    This really looks like some interesting stuff...

    Some first thoughts (have to install mod tomorrow):
    - almost no production and 2 tile-island-start should be quite slow...
    - Mining -> BW -> Sailing (need whip and galley...)
    - WB first with max. production looks best to me.
    - Without looking into the save it's hard to predict, but maybe working seafood (for commerce) is better than the gras-forest. Usually I wouldn't consider it too much, but our tech-path looks rather long in the beginning.
    - I would surely go for a settler before a worker. A worker has nothing to do...
    - As long as there doesn't pop some resource, I wouldn't chop the forest on our starting island.

    ... have to go to bed now.

    Well as im first to the roster i will outline my plan for my first ~20 turns till the WB is finished :

    Research : mining - BW ( slavery is everything ! besides the AI doesnt know how to use it effectively which makes our island neighbours a bit weaker than the usual AI )

    Build:WB

    I see 2 options as already discussed :

    1.GL-wood for 8 Rounds and then wine
    2. coastal fish for 8 Rounds and then wine

    Comparing the 2:
    Option 2 trades 8 hammer for 24 commerce -> it takes 2 more turns for the AB to be finished and therefore 2 more turns till you reach size 2.
    In those 2 turns we basically "gain" back 6 Food and 6 commerce ( only 6 since we are already size 2 and have to feed the new citizen )
    Anyway , while option 2 gives us a considerable amount of extra commerce i think the earlier growth is more important which makes me tend to option 1.

    If most of us agree i would go with option 1 and play till the WB is finished.

    And with the roster posted you eventually answered my question, snaaty

    I support:
    - the work boat as fast as possible
    - Bronze Working

    I guess it makes sense to build the second work boat subsequently since a worker would not help us at all (costs 90 -> cuts wood for 45 - pointless...)

    Unless copper, iron or horses pop up under the gras forest I would not chop it.
    For a long time we could only "trade" it vs. a cottage, but I regard the production in this particular case stronger than a cottage, which would have to grow anyways. There ist enough commerce in the sea.

    We are in Round 19 ( why btw did we start in Round 1 ? Scenario specific or did you "skip" round 0 by accident ? ) and our WB is finished :

    As a tiny adjustment i was skipping the wine for 1 Round and worked the fish instead as we only needed 1 hammer to finish WB which was a trade of 2 hammer for 1 food and 2 commerce - That way we can also grow faster to 3 if we want to.

    To our south i see a nice spot for a production city :

    so now a second WB, than the warrior after the WB should be possible to time beeing ready reaching pop5

    starting in turn 1 not in turn 0 is totally correct with this scenario and an important scenario specific boni, so nobody did hit by accident the "end turn button" while editing the scenario without noticing it and then overwrote the original (and already heavily edited) save

    if i find the time, i will write a short scenario specific storyline to cover it up even more
