By the second year of the Romano-Punic War, the Mighty Carthaginian Navy reigns supreme over the Mediterranean and strikes where it pleases.

Off the coast of Corsica, 1 transport ship carrying 1 merchant is sunk.



With the sea secure, the Carthaginian Armada strikes at the heart of Roman power, the city of Rome itself!

Carthaginian quinqueremes charge into Rome's port (Ostia) and completely overwhelm it. With this bulkhead established, Carthaginian siege equipment is unloaded and then the walls of Rome itself are besieged. The City puts up some resistance but eventually the gates are battered down with battering rams.



The Great City of Rome has fallen!

Rome: 8 infantry units defending Rome + 1 transport ship with 1 merchant onboard.

-Carthaginians capture Terracina, for the loss of 2 siege engines. I think there were about 6 Roman troops defending the city, and 1 diplomat.

-Carthaginians capture Umbri with no losses, just 1 defending Roman unit and 1 'Legion Standard' killed.

-Carthaginians sieze the island of Corsica, Aleria is blockaded and then captured with no losses. 3 Roman units defending the city are killed.

-Off the coast of Magna Grecia, 1 Roman trireme is sunk.

-In the foothills of the Spanish Pyranese, 1 Roman infantry unit is killed.
