    Bugs, Fehler und Probleme beim Einfügen einer neuen Civ

    Guten Tag
    schlussendlich eröffne ich dann doch ein Thema, da dann doch noch einige Probleme auftreten...

    Der Dauerbrenner bei mir neues Citycet möchte und möchte einfach nicht funktionieren, die Städte sind noch immer im Standart-Set - diese kleinen Hütten bei einem bewirtschafteten Feld sind nun aber so hoch wie eine Einheit *hust*
    Von Anfang an: Ich habe mir das Cityset Asia aus Civ4 stibitzt und versucht es in Col einzubauen. So langsam bin ich mir aber nicht mehr sicher, ob es an den (falschen) dds liegt oder an den (falsch) programmierten XML... Kann alles benötigte hochladen, wenn gewünscht.

    Was mir nun bei einem Problespiel aufgefallen ist:
    Ohne Vorwarnung geht manchmal der Hauptstadthafen kaputt - im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. Wobei ich anfangs dachte, dass dies an einer Einheit läge (da der Hafen immer dann kaputt zu gehen schien, als diese immigrierte), war dies wohl doch nur zufällig, da es sporadisch auftaucht. Irgendwo in den XML müsste ein Fehler sein - dll und py können ausgeschlossen werden, da habe ich die Finger draußen gelassen... Wüsste jemand vielleicht, was da falsch ist? Oder wo man da nachsehen könnte?

    Ja dieses Problem hatte ich auch beim erstellen meiner neuen Civ.
    Am Ende lag es an an einer kfm von den Vet-Musketman.
    Verfolg mal im internen das Problem ab Post 172 der DK.
    Gefunden hat den Fehler übrigens Ramkhamhaeng. Er hilft dir bestimmt weiter.

    Solche Fehler kenne ich auch.
    Normalerweise (aus technischer Sicht) kann es nur an 2 Dingen liegen:

    1. Fehler im Python (was du ja ausschließen kannst)
    2. Fehler in einer Einheitengrafik

    Bei uns war es damals auch eine Einheitengrafik.
    Der Fehler im Python würde dir normalerweise auch angezeigt wenn du Python-Exceptions aktivierst.

    Und woran erkennt man eine fehlerhafte kfm? Oder einfach nur systematisch ausprobieren?

    Das Problem ist, dass die Grafiken und Animationen im normalen Spiel absolut keine Hinweise auf Fehler gezeigt haben.
    Nur im EuropaScreen hat es zu beschriebenen Problemen geführt.

    Wir haben da wirklich systematisch im XML geändert und dann getestet, bis wir die fehlerhaften Einheitengrafiken gefunden haben.
    (Allerdings konnten wir den Zeitrahmen, wann der Fehler eingebracht wurde auch relativ gut eingrenzen und somit die in Frage kommenden Einheitengrafiken ebenfalls.)

    Vielleicht gibt es aber auch eine bessere Methode.
    (z.B. über die Logs)

    Ich bin so vorgegangen:

    1. Im Hafen so lange Einheiten erworben, bis der Fehler das erste Mal auftrat. Da für gibt man sich im Weltenbauer vorher am besten genug Gold.
    2. Abspeichern und testen, ob der Fehler nach dem Reload immer noch da ist.
    3. Nun änderst du in den Civilisationsinfos das Grafikset für die Nation. Wie das ging habe ich schon wieder vergessen, aber das weißt du ja wahrscheinlich mittlerweile besser als ich.
    4. Nun sollte der Hauptstadt der Hafen wieder korrekt angezeigt werden und du kannst erkennen, welches die schuldige Einheit war.

    Wenn du Glück hast ist es nur eine Einheit

    Noch eine weitere kleine Frage:
    Erscheinen Gegenstände (Segel, Schwerter, u.ä) immer in der Spielerfarbe, ist ja irgendwas mit den Grafiken nicht richtig. Aber woran genau kann man erkennen, was genau da falsch ist? Öffnet man die NIF's, ist alles ganz normal; nur im Spiel erscheint da dieses gelbe Klötzchen...

    Zu deiner Frage mit dem Cityset (ich zitiere mich einfach mal selber, weil mir die Frage vor 2 Wochen schon per PM gestellt wurde):

    beliebige Stellen anfügen ist nicht sehr sinnvoll. Am besten machst du folgendes:
    Öffne dir die CIV4CityLSystem.xml und das betroffene Cityset in Nifskope gleichzeitig. Nun suchst du in der xml den ersten Node

    Auf diesen Eintrag folgen dann alle Gebäude mit der Größe 1x1. Dann schaust du in Nifskope wieviele Gebäude der Größe 1x1 (oder 1x1x1) das Cityset hat und fügst diese einfach in der xml ein. Die Namen kannst du direkt in Nifskope ablesen. Also bspw. 1x1_01, 1x1_02, 1x1_03, etc.
    Dasselbe wiederholst du dann bei den anderen Nodes (2x1,1x2,2x2, etc.). Manche Gebäude haben vielleicht Namen die keinen entsprechenden Node haben, z.B. 3x1. Diese kannst du dann einfach unter 2x1 miteinfügen.

    Das Prinzip dahinter ist recht simpel wenn man es einmal verstanden hat. Das Spiel vergibt für die Städte verschiedene Flächen unterschiedlicher Größe - die Nodes. Diese werden dann zum einen mit den gebauten Gebäuden, zum anderen mit den Citysets gefüllt.
    Welche Grafiken dafür nun genau verwendet werden, wird über die xml und den Namen der Nodes (in Nifskope ablesbar) zugewiesen.
    Die Namen sind aber nur relativ, ein 1x1 großes Gebäude könnte natürlich auch ein Modell haben, welches im Spiel die Fläche von 4x4 belegt. Bei unsauber erstellten Citysets kann es also durchaus Abweichungen zwischen tatsächlicher Größe und dem zugewiesen Node kommen. Aber das ist kein großes Problem, im schlimmsten Fall gibt es halt leichte Überschneidungen zwischen einzelnen Gebäuden im Spiel (dann kann man dem Gebäude einen größeren Node zuweisen oder es in Nifskope verkleinern). Die Größen kommen im Normalfall schon halbwegs hin.
    So sieht ein typischer Eintrag für 1 Gebäude aus dem Cityset aus.

    Danke, das mit den Einheiten klappt prima

    Nur irgendwie schein ich zu blöd fürs Cityset zu sein... Wobei bisher die Standart-Gebäude zu sehen waren, hab ich es nun geschafft, mit dem neuen Cityset alle Häuser abzureißen:

    1. GlobalTypes.xml öffnen, Artstyle anlegen
    Dafür nach diesen Einträgen suchen:

    Code:
    <ArtStyleType>ARTSTYLE_FRANCE</ArtStyleType>
    und einfach einen neuen dazufügen, also z.B. <ArtStyleType>ARTSTYLE_CHINESE</ArtStyleType>

    2. CIV4CivilizationInfos.xml öffnen und unter ArtStyleType deiner Civilization dann entsprechend den neuen Eintrag einfügen , also <ArtStyleType>ARTSTYLE_CHINESE</ArtStyleType>

    3. Wie oben beschrieben die einzelnen Gebäude in die CIV4CityLSystem.xml einfügen



    Die Nummern findest du in Nifskope wie auf dem Bild makiert. Einfach unter dem entsprechenden Node in der CIV4CityLSystem.xml einfügen, fertig.

    Dann wird natürlich auch nix angezeigt. Also löschst du entweder !ERA_DISCOVERY raus, oder definierst dafür ein neues Cityset.

    Dann:
    Du hast einem Cityset 2 verschiedene Nifs zugeordent. Das geht nicht, du kannst immer nur auf eine Datei verweisen. Diese Nif darf auch nur eine Textur haben, alles andere führt zu Fehlern (man kann also nicht über Nifskope andere Gebäude aus anderen Sets einfach reinkopieren).

    Wenn man Gebäude aus 2 unterschiedlichen Citysets gleichzeitig darstellen will (was auch das maximal mögliche ist), kann man das erreichen indem man 2 verschiedene Citysets einbaut und diese zur selben Epoche anzeigen lässt.
    (Da kommt dann der Wert von <Attribute Class="Scalar">iBatchGroup:1</Attribute> zum tragen. Ein Set bekommt 0, das andere 1)

    Dann:

    Du musst deinen ArtStyleTyp noch an anderen Stellen einfügen:

    z.B. unter
    Code:
    <ArtRef Name="decoration:all_city_lot_4x2.nif">
    für die Bodendekoration.


    Such einfach in der Datei nach z.B. ARTSTYLE_ENGLAND und du findest die Stellen wo du noch was eintragen musst.

    Dasselbe musst du auch in CIV4PlotLSystem.xml machen. Für die ganzen Modernisierungen etc.

    Eine letzte Frage noch Melcher (o.a. )

    Das einzige, was ich dich noch fragen würde, mein Meister: Diese kleinen Hütten bei bewirtschafteten Feldern sind noch immer überproportional groß... Wie kann man die normal groß machen?
