    Colonialism II - Pbem game #3 (Modification)

    Players:
    Portuguese - cupcoffee
    Dutch - Dario
    French - Radyserb
    Habsburgs - Karlheinz
    English - McMonkey

    Changes:
    France has one Trade Center less
    Dutch has one more Trade Center (making Dutch to the major trading target)
    The Colonial Goods are not on the freight position any longer (making the tech progress slower I hope)
    +House Rules
    +Event mistake repaired (England gets 1640 now the right tech)

    House Rules:

    -No reloading of any kind
    -No tech exchange
    -No rehoming of caravans
    -No ship chaining of any kind
    -Diplomats can only be used during peace times
    -No sneak attacks; you will also have to wait one turn before you mobilize your invading troops
    -Settlers, cannons and ships can only be built in Europe: Exception is when colonial cities reach size 8
    MODIFIED: -Any shortcuts between the oceans (like Suez or Panama) can not be used; All units will have to circumnavigate along Cape Hope and Cape Horn
    -Cities can not be placed adjacent to trading posts (airbases); only on top of them
    MODIFIED: -No conquest of Scotish and Ottoman AI cities until 1700 and of continental European AI cities in general (but recapture is possible)
    -No founding of new cities in Europe and in the Ottoman Empire; only rebuild razed ones
    -No terrain stealing to the AI
    -Slaves can not be used to found new cities
    MODIFIED: -No terraforming (just o orders)
    -No transport of fortresses per ship
    -You may only build one fortress per 4 citizens in your city: ie.
    4-7 city size: you can have 1 fortress.
    8-11 city size: you can have 2 fortresses, and so on...
    - You may build fortresses without restriction in continental europe and england
    NEW: - No founding of new cities on tundra, mountains or hills. (preventing large "arctic" empires)
    No foundings of new cities on forest, marsh and jungle too (you have to cut the obstacles first with worker(s))
    For Habsburg it's not allowed to colonize with austrian, hungarian and german workers.
    Tariffs are allowed.
    Blackklicking is forbidden.
    No City Bribe allowed.
    No Food Caravans
    Knights must be nobilitated at home, so they can't be built in colonies.
    NEW: You can just build diplomats in cities with Royal Court and Missionaries just in cities with a cathedral and monastery

    Should we extend the banof founding colonies on forest and jungles too? Looking at the map, there is still a lot of grassland in the Americas that it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

    Too bad I didn’t saw this first; I was on a trip for a few days

    Just want to point out that maybe you should implement also these two new rules: No food caravans and no building of homeland units in the colonies, I found pretty strange to build for example French Knights in a just founded colony at the other side of the Atlantic

    Which units are homeland units and which are none-homeland units?

    But there is not enough grassland on the coast... But it's inspite of this a good idea, if we allow Workers to cut the forest, jungles and marshes.

    and what about this city Nicahao, if you take it, you can cross from the atlantic to pacific ocean and viceversa! . so you must set a rule that can't use that city as a shortcut.

    And what rules should we have about terraforming jungles and forests?
