In dem Szenario ist Arcadia Bay zerstört und Joyce, zusammen mit den meisten Einwohnern, gestorben. David hat überlebt weil er die Nacht im Dark Room war, nachdem er das Rätsel um Mr. Jefferson und Nathan gelöst hat. Dabei hat er auch Victoria gerettet und man findet einen Brief von ihr, scheinbar hat der gemeinsame Verlust eine gewisse Verbundenheit aufgebaut.
Anfangs gab es (überraschung) Streit zwischen David und dem Duo, weil Max und Chloe einfach wegefahren sind nach der Nacht, während David versucht hat die Stadt wieder mit aufzubauen. Wie man sehen kann hat er das Projekt aber dann fallen lassen und ist ebenfalls "wegelaufen". Dadurch at er Verständnis für ihre Entscheidung aufgebracht und sie sind wieder in Kontakt getreten. Man belauscht dann am Ende wenn man will auch ein Gespräch zwischen ihm und Chloe, anstatt von Joyce.
