I'm enjoying myself
Its up to Civi if he wants to continue.I have quite a few ideas about how to improve this scenario (which is very good but unbalanced) but I will wait until we finish playing before I post them. |

Ok, dann ist hier Game Over. Ich würde in einem neuen Spiel gerne nochmal die Briten nehmen, aber die Spielbalance muss tatsächlich deutlich verändert werden. Der Süden hatte nie eine echte Chance auf gute Handelserlöse.

This scenario is very well made and a lot of fun. Here are a few suggestions that might help the balance: 1) I would stop Engineers construction new railroads or find a way to limit the number of engineers (via events?). 2) The Union completely dominates the sea and trade. Perhaps you could give the Confederates some cash each turn to compensate. When I got my trade with Paris going I was usually getting 10-14,000+ gold and a technology per turn. 3) Make barracks non-buildable but put some in some Confederate cities to represent the large number of officers that returned to the South at the start of the war. This would also mean that units all start as 'Greenhorns' and must gain their veteran status in battle. If all units are produced as veterans then they can never improve! 4) You could create a Confederate Blockade Runner unit in the eastern Atlantic with the Submarine flag and high movement. This unit would have high shield value and would need to get into a Confederate port where it can be disbanded to help boost production. 5) Remove city improvements that serve no purpose (IE ones to eliminate pollution) as they just get sold off to help rush build units. |

You could add some extra co-ordinates for the New Orleans landings as they are simple for the Confederates to block!
You should not pre-place Moderne Hauser or Strasen in cities as there is no pollution in the scenario and the players will just sell them! I would say 8-10 Engineers would be reasonable but no extra after that. In the game I had 34 Engineers and had given another 10+ away to France, Britain and Spain! I wouldn't give either side the 'Sun Tzu' wonder but if you have to give it to either side then it HAS to be the Confederates! |

Would I be able to play as the Confederates in the next game?
EDIT 1: New idea. How about making events where the Confederates gain some money from killing Union units and ships. This would promote an aggressive defence by the CSA and would give the Confederates some much needed money for rush building! Perhaps 100 gold for Infantry, 200 for Cavalry, 300 for Artillery and 500 for ships. If you need more events space I would suggest cutting some of the text as it takes up a lot of space! EDIT 2: Also, would it be possible to reveal all the terrain on the map. Having blacked out bits looks messy and serves no purpose in a 19th Century scenario.

- beim Norden alle Gebäude weg, die er zu Geld machen kann - Sun Szu zum Süden - alle Events raus, die dem Süden Geld kosten - die Events mit Grant, Sherman, Farragut raus, der Süden muß sonst eh blockieren - die Größe + Stärke der Kriegsflotte Union / England etc der Realität anpassen - die überflüssigen Nullen beim Geld weg, krieg ja dicke Augen - das indirekte Terraforming aktivieren brauchen wir eine houserule?: kein Krieg zwischen den Europäern |
