Does anybody have the time / enthusiasm to begin a new PBEM? I'm just in the mood to begin something new. If so any suggestions on which game? Just an idea

I have taken a look at New World Order and I am not too sure about its suitability. To me it looks like an inferior scenario to Eivind's First Strike which is a similar subject, just starting a bit earlier on. Would anyone consider a game of First Strike minus some of the complex house rules? This would reduce the excellent level of realism that Eivind created but may lead to a more aggressive WWIII style situation. It would be interesting to see how things pan out when the players are left to interact without complex house rules holding them in check!

The Age of Napoleon

Saladin's Napoleonic scenario on a world map as used in La Belle Epoque and other global scenarios. It was built a year or two ago with PBEM in mind and it did not get a proper first test in the Apolyton PBEM forum which was dying out when TAON was released!

Another quality scenario by John Ellis. All of his scenarios are well put together and have innovative features. It would be interesting to see how it plays as a PBEM.

The Viking Age

We did try and start up a game of this well balanced and visually impressive scenario. Can we find enough players now? I think it would be a quick and fun game due to the compact map and numerous nations!

Crusades 1100

Another of Jamestout's recent scenarios that definitely deserves a try. This could develop into a battle between the Christian north and the Muslim south that would be an interesting contest.

Zhan Guo: Quest for Tian Xia

Possibly not a well known scenario but it has a great map and looks well thought out. I have cobbled together a set of Chinese units that Fairline made and a new set of cities and terrain so it looks really good too. Could be very interesting!

The Age of Imperialism

I loved this scenario by Exile after I played it in single player mode when I first discovered all the CivII scenarios. It is like a slightly earlier period version of La Belle. Could be a laugh.

Hopefully one of these would be acceptable for enough people to try out.

Not exactly a deep game, but it was fun for me in single player until I got a step ahead of the AI and the challenge ended. Turns should be very short and we would only need 5 players.

No one needs to take this seriously, I just thought I would throw it out there...

Five player games seem to zip along quite well as the turns come along quickly. I have been meaning to check out Gold Gulch for a long time!
